Event Description

When/Where: Friday, November 9th from 7-9:30 pm at the Ann Arbor City Club

The Annual Angell Auction and Parent Social Event was the single largest source of revenue last year! It is a great and fun way for adults in the Angell community to socialize and have fun while contributing to the school. Join Angell parents for a fun evening of cocktails, appetizers, and both a silent and live auction. Childcare is even provided! It is also a great community builder since it is the only social event for just the Angell parents! 

Organizing Tasks (for volunteers)

This event needs many volunteers to serve on this fun, energetic committee. We need volunteers to help with soliciting donations for the live and silent auctions, marketing and public relations, ticket sales, presentation of auction items for display, set up and decorations for the event, and checking out auctioned items. Regardless of how much time you have to spare, we would love to have you on board. We will start to meet regularly mid-September right after drop off at the Common Cup by Angell School if that is convenient for committee members. Please consider helping out on this important committee!

Volunteer tasks include:

  • Soliciting donations for silent and live auction
  • Soliciting items for baskets for silent auction
  • Public relations/marketing
  • Ticket sales in advance
  • Helping with the presentation and display of auction items (few days before event)
  • Donate baked good (day of event)
  • Ticket sales (at door)
  • Set up/decorate for event (during the day of event)
  • Selling drink tickets (shifts during the evening)
  • Check out of auctioned items (end of evening of event)
