Curriculum Night

Event Description

Curriculum night is a time to meet your child's teacher, learn about their teaching philosophy and plans for the year, and their expectations of you as a parent (e.g., when homework needs to be turned in and how much you should help them). The Principal also gives a presentation to talk about Angell School in general, its status in the school district and larger nation, and any key goals for parents and for the year. The PTO president also gives a presentation to describe the aims of the organization and major plans for the year.


2012-2013 Information


Date: Tuesday, September 11th
Time: 6:30 -8:00 p.m

Buses will come by the Twin Lakes Apt. complex at approx 6:00 p.m. and North Campus (McIntyre) lots at approx  6:10 p.m.
Otherwise, parking will be in tight supply. Come early to find a spot and be at the school on time.

English as a Second Language (ESL)  If your child is in grades 3-5, please attend the classroom presentation from 6:30-7:00 pm. and Mrs. K, the ESL teacher would like to meet with you from 7:30-8:00 pm.  If your child is in grades K-2, please attend the classroom presentation from 7:30-8:00 pm. and Mrs. K, the ESL teacher would like to meet with you from 6:30-7:00 pm.  Mrs.K's room is 113. 

Schedule

6:30 pm-- 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teachers present to the parents in their classrooms. Teachers meet with their respective classroom parents and discuss the curriculum, class expectations, parent conferences, assessments, and classroom activities for this school year. 

7:00-7:30 p.m.--All Parents Meeting in the auditorium and both the PTO President, Stephanie Preston and I will talk about school wide events and goals.

7:30-8:00 p.m.-- Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade classroom teachers will meet with their respective classroom parents. This is a must come to event!
