2018 Angell Walk-A-Thon 

Date: Monday, November 5 at 1:25 p.m. - 3:40 p.m. 

Where: Angell Playground

Why: An all school Capital Campaign to promote:

  1. Wellness
  2. Giving the kids a sense of ownership in contributing toward the Capital Campaign for our school. The funds from the Campaign will be used to purchase much needed technology equipment, such as Chromebooks and headphones, that can help Angell students learn better!
Details: All Angell students will have the opportunity to have fun and raise money by running/walking around the Angell building. Students are encouraged to ask family members, neighbors, and friends to pledge a donation. The goal is to raise at least $25 per student, but any dollar amount can be contributed. The pledge form is HERE PTO is asking for a few volunteers to help with the event. If you are available to help, please sign up HERE.

Walk-A-Thon Schedule:

1:25 – 1:45    5th grade walk, Kindergarten + Young Fives cheer

1:50  – 2:00  Kindergarten + Young Fives walk, 5th grade cheer

2:05 – 2:25  4th grade walk, 2nd grade cheer

2:30– 2:50  3rd grade walk, 1st grade cheer

2:55 – 3:15  2nd grade walk, 4th grade cheer

3:20 – 3:40  1st grade walk, 3rd grade cheer

There will be several local wellness organizations at the event to give parents and students an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about their exciting fitness programs.  Participating organizations include Kids Go Blue club, Mt. Brighton ski resort, the junior cross-country ski club, UM women's tennis team, and FitPoint studio. In addition, there will be a field hockey clinic. 

Please send your child in rain-ready gear, make sure he or she has an extra set of clothes at school, and pack a water bottle if they do not already do so. In case of very inclement weather, the make-up will be Wednesday Nov 7th.
