About the PTO

The PTO is an organization of parents and teachers of Angell Elementary.

Our goals are to:

  • Foster a sense of support, pride and enthusiasm for Angell

  • Encourage parent and public involvement in the Angell School

  • Bring home and school closer together to encourage the cooperation of parents and teachers in service of our children’s education

PTO meeting dates

All teachers, staff and officials of Angell are automatically members of the PTO and are encouraged and welcome to attend the PTO monthly meetings (and to vote when present). Please contact the PTO president if you wish to be included on the agenda. Families are notified of meeting time and location via our weekly newsletter.

Angell School By-Laws (established and approved May 20, 2010)

Mission

The purpose of the Angell PTO is to foster a sense of support, pride and enthusiasm; to encourage parent and public involvement in the Angell School; and to bring into closer relation the home and the school, that the parents and teachers may cooperate in the education of children. This organization shall:

  • Provide service for school functions;

  • Engage in fundraising projects;

  • Encourage parent, teacher and community involvement;

  • Cooperate with school administration in providing educational opportunities;

  • Provide a forum for discussion of issues pertaining to the school and community and to engage in appropriate action on such issues; and

  • Engage in any other activity consistent with the purposes and activities set forth above.

The Angell PTO is organized exclusively for the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

We collect information from you when you make payments to the Angell PTO or register to receive communications from us. When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, mailing address or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. Any of the information we collect from you may be used to process transactions or to send periodic emails. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other organization for any reason whatsoever, without your written consent, other than for the express purpose of the service requested.
